How can I partner with GDLN?

The Global Development Learning Network provides a platform that people and organizations working in development can use to exchange knowledge and organize learning activities across the world. There are two different ways to get involved with the network: either as a client (user of our services) or as an Affiliate (provider of our services).

As a client, you can work with GDLN to create your own learning event(s) by tapping into a network of over 100 centers across the developing world that stay connected via videoconferencing facilities, internet and a Global Secretariat. Whether you have content or training materials to disseminate, or are looking to engage with multiple countries in real-time dialogues, conferences or other exchanges, GDLN can help you identify the right tools and techniques to meet your specific objectives.

Our partner centers, also known as Affiliates, are often housed in universities, government institutions and think-tanks, and provide facilities that include classrooms or meeting rooms with access to videoconferencing and in most cases, high speed internet resources (such as email and instant messenger). Some Affiliates also offer access to specialists who are familiar with important facilitation and learning techniques adaptable to individual user needs. Through these technologies and techniques, GDLN Affiliates enable their clients to communicate with each other for consultation, coordination, and training events in a timely and cost-effective manner. If you are interested in using GDLN to further your learning and knowledge agenda, please contact the nearest GDLN Affiliate.

If your institution is interested in joining our Network, please send us an email message

How can I make my content and/or services available to others through GDLN?

Content providers can use GDLN to deliver content, such as training or certificate programs, within and across multiple countries to reach their target audiences, and service providers can use GDLN to provide their services to clients across the globe via videoconferencing and internet platforms. In both cases, once you have identified your target audience(s), you may contact the GDLN Affiliate close to you, to discuss how to organize your learning and knowledge-sharing activities.

GDLN aims to serve the knowledge and learning needs of individuals and organizations working in development. To organize an event with us, you may start by defining your objective(s) and target audiences. The next step is to contact the GDLN Affiliate center nearest you. At this point, an Affiliate will be able to help you further define the best methods, tools and techniques to achieve your objectives and discuss the pricing of services.
